  • People often mix up linearity and level design. Almost every area in DS3 is crafted to be exciting exploring experience with multiple secrets and interconnected mini locations. Take Cathedral of the Deep. It has only one bonfire for the main area, that’s insane! And there’s another one, near a secret NPC, which you can find only if you go up the roof then notice a small balcony, jump down and open a door. The game don’t give you hints to find these areas. There’s no Gemini (thank God!) who instantly backseats you. That’s why you feel special finding the secrets whatever fromsoft game you play. I enjoyed Lies of P battle mechanics, but there were quite a lot of problems with the other really important aspects of the game for me
