Played through all three in the master collection and didn’t have any noticeable issues. To me the only downside is they still didn’t include the cut content from the Snake Eater like snake vs monkey or the vampire dream mini game. But the Snake vs monkey mini game is coming back in the remake so that’s not really an issue.

The cash refunds came from the front office of the store. Automotive had their own cash til and exit near the back of the store. He would charge the customer the higher amount at their cash til and claim it was a mistake. He would then take the receipt up front to do a return and insist on getting it refunded in cash instead of back on the customers card. After he got the cash he would go back to his til and put the purchase through again but for the right amount and use the cash from the refund then he would pocket the difference. I think he got away with about 12-15k before he was found out but it’s been a few probably 10 years or so since this happened so it might of happened a little differently then what I remember.
Might as well collect what you love…as long as you don’t keep them in jars it should be fine.
I got two that I can recall from my retail days.
The first one was a nice dude, but he was weird. We were in the back room one day, and he just decided to shout fuck as loud as he could out the door leading to the sales floor. He was fired a few minutes later. The dumbass didn’t think he would get caught.
The second one was a manager and who would steal tools that were used in the auto department and then sell them, a bit of money laundering, and he would ring up expensive but wrong tires and then charge the customer. He would then get it refunded in cash and then charge them for the correct amount, then he would pocket the difference. When they found out what he was doing, he fled out west, leaving his wife and kids behind. No idea if they ever caught him.
Here is a bonus one. The dude was also a manager, but he abandoned his job. Dude and his wife were swingers, and he ended up sleeping with someone whose husband never approved of the lifestyle. Apparently the guy was a pretty big dude that threatened him and his entire family, so he just fled to the north, and we never heard from him again.
Damn…Chris looks like someone I went to high school with.
